The vineyards and the hills, the wineries the days call at, and the table at the

The first frames are the valley itself: green hills folding above a village church, rows of
vines from the air, and dry summer paddocks at dusk. Then the ways people see it, on a trike down
an avenue of date palms, in a 1960s convertible at sunset, on e-bikes along a vineyard track, and
standing among old vines with a barrel for a table.
The second half is the wineries and what they pour. A red-brick clock tower above a lawn, a
vine-covered pergola, a long stone winery behind palms, old bush vines pruned for winter, and a
fire in a cellar-door hearth. One tasting room has chalked the whole region on its wall, with the
Barossa Valley and the Eden Valley both marked on it. The last frames are a
glass being poured over the vines and a shared lunch outdoors.
